On July 2018, a group of researchers and master students from Department of Physics from the University of Zakho visited the University of Oldenburg/Germany. The visit is a part of DAAD program that has been started in 2017 and coordinated by Dr. Diyar Sadiq in which several PhD and master students implement their main part of thesis. It is worth mentioning that two of master students are now working on a project and three researchers including Dr. Diyar Sadiq, Dr. Dler Jameel from the Department of Physics (supervising the two-master student) and Dr. shakir Rasheed from the Department of Mathematics are working on their specific research. In addition, the program will be ended by a workshop that will be held on October 16-17, 2018. It is worthwhile to point out that since 2014 Dr. Diyar Sadiq has collaborated and continued with the group of Ultra-fast Nano-optics from the University of Oldenburg with the aim of establishing a sustainable cooperation between both partners with a joint research projects, staff training and workshops. More than 18 academic staff from the Department of Physics participated in this program and visited the German partner in Oldenburg. One of the results of this program is establishing a nanotechnology research centre at the University of Zakho.
